The aim of this course is to provide Learners with the knowledge, skills and competence to explain a range of information technology concepts and terminology; describe the impact of information technology on personal and working life, to navigate internet sites, manage files and folders, create and management a personal email account and develop their skills in data entry and word processing.

The purpose of this module is to provide learners with an understanding of the computer system and its environment. It covers basic computer terminology associated with computer concepts, hardware and software. It also provides practical experience in data entry skills, word processing, file management and the use of email and the Internet.
