This programme module aims to provide a learner with the relevant knowledge, skills and competence to understand the importance of administration and the roles of the administrator in the efficient running of all types of organisations, including private sector, public sector and educational settings.

QQI Level 5 Certificate, or equivalent life/work experience.

  • To understand and evaluate the role of administration within all functions and departments of organisations.

  • To develop communication, decision making and time management skills which will allow the administrator to complete their work function to maximum effect.

  • To develop excellent organisational skills using a host of information and communications technologies.

  • To be aware of current legislation with regard to administration practices.

  • To enable the learner to develop the skills to work with a high level of personal autonomy.
