Interior Design (Colour & Light) - FETAC A20215 - Level 5

Training Aim:

This course is designed to equip the learner with the skills and knowledge to work effectively in a Warehouse environment.

Objectives:

To enable the learner to understand the language of colour and light its use in Interior Design.

For those who intend working in a Retail, Customer Service or Office environment where the knowledge acquired on this certified course would be of benefit to the company - small to large retailers, architects, civil engineers, interior designer or decorator/builders offices.

Outline Training Plan:

Learners who successfully complete this module will:

1. Apply the principles of colour theory

gather visual/written material on colour theory

evidence in a practical assignment

understand the Colour Wheel & Colour Schemes

visually communicating colour principles as a problem solving exercise

2. Understand and apply the principles of natural and artificial light

researching and composing a presentation to evaluate the characteristics or colour and light when used together

3. Combine colour and light in a creative way

recognise the psychological effects of colour and light

4. Explore various methods of colour and light applications

present a colour and light scheme with the aid of sample boards

5. Research colour and light products readily available.

analysing colour and light portfolios and carrying out a critical evaluation of assignments produced

6. Planning a Room

Training Duration:

Option No.1: 5 x full days - some home work.
Option No 2: Group Rate or In-Company (contact us for quote).

Course Fee:

€ 400 per individual. (10% discount = €405 euro for FAS CE Participant)

Assessment is devised by the internal assessor, with external moderation by FETAC

Grading: Pass 50-64% / Merit 65-79% /Distinction 80-100%
