Computer Literacy- FETAC - BF0133 - (Level 3) Beginners Course

Training Aim:

Candidates who are successful at Computer Literacy will be able to use some generic applications, such as Word Processing, Database, Spreadsheets, Email and Internet.

Objectives:

Learners who successfully complete this course will:

  • Understand the essential elements of computer hardware and software.

  • Operate common computer applications.
  • Demonstrate good work habits in the use and care of the computer and related equipment.

 

Outline Training Plan:

 

The specific learning outcomes are grouped into 4 Units:

Unit 1 - Computer Operation and Use
Unit 2 - Introduction to Software package A (Word Processing)
Unit 3 - Introduction to Software package B
Unit 4 - Introduction to Software package C

Software B & C must consist of 2 applications selected from the following:
Database, Spreadsheet, Powerpoint, Email, Internet.

 

Training Duration:

20 - 30 hours (depending on Learner's prior knowledge/existing skills).

Course Fee:

360 per participant

Assesment:

Candidates present a portfolio of coursework which shows that they have achieved all of the Specific learning Outcomes.
