Training Aim:

To enable the Learner to gain an in-depth understanding of groups and group development and processes.

Objectives:

  • Appreciate their own ways of participating in groups

  • Recognise the characteristics of effective groups
  • Understand some key elements of group development and group processes
  • Have an understanding of the nature of conflict in groups
  • Understand the function of leadership in groups
  • Demonstrate some key skills in working with groups
  • Develop good work practices in working with groups under direction
     

Outline Training Plan:

The specific learning outcomes are grouped in 4 units.

Unit 1: Participating in Groups
Unit 2: Group Theory
Unit 3: Differences in groups
Unit 4: Group Leadership skills

 
Training Duration:

 
30 hours approx (depending on Learner's prior knowledge/existing skills).

  • Access Database, as approved by FETAC.

  • All results are recorded on our database and comply with the Data Protection Act 1988.Project and Examination.
     

Assessment & Certification:

  • All assessment is devised by the Internal Assessor, with external modification by FETAC.

  • Assessment Briefs:
    • Skills Demonstration: 50%
    • Learner Record: 30%
    • Assignment: 20%
       
  • Grading: Pass 50- 64% Merit 65% - 79% Distinction 80-100%
