Training Aim:

To enable Learners to gain an in-depth knowledge of text production and to develop the skills to produce an extensive range of documents using at least one of the following: typewriter, keyboard or voice input.

Objectives:

  • Understand the importance of good text production techniques

  • Appreciate the importance of consistent style and layout
  • Acquire a thorough working knowledge of an input device
  • Develop the skills necessary to display documents attractively to mailable standard
  • Maximise speed and accuracy.
     

Outline Training Plan:

The specific learning outcomes are grouped in 4 units.

Unit 3: Production of Documents
Unit 4: Speed and Accuracy

  • All assessment is devised by the Internal Assessor, with external modification by FETAC.

  • Assessment Briefs:
    • Collection of Work or Examination (Practical): 80%
    • Skills Demonstration: 20%
       
  • Grading: Pass 50- 64% Merit 65% - 79% Distinction 80-100%
