Training Aim:

To enable the Learner to gain an understanding of the retail organisation and has been developed to prepare learners for the administrative functions involved in a retail organisation.

Objectives:

  • Develop an understanding of the features of a retail organisation

  • Appreciate the impact of the factors which affect a retail organisation
  • Understand the financial aspects of a retail administration
  • Appreciate the legal aspects of retailing
  • Undertake administrative duties in relation to stock control process business documents in relation to sales and purchases.
     

Outline Training Plan:

The specific learning outcomes are grouped in 5 units.

Unit 1: The Retail Organisation
Unit 2: Financial Aspects of Retailing
Unit 3: Legal Aspects of Retailing
Unit 4: Stock Control
Unit 5: Processing Business Documents

 
Training Duration:

 
30 hours approx (depending on Learner's prior knowledge/existing skills).

  • All results are recorded on our database and comply with the Data Protection Act 1988.Project and Examination.
     

Assessment & Certification:

  • All assessment is devised by the Internal Assessor, with external modification by FETAC.

  • Assessment Briefs:
    • Examination (Theory Based): 60%
    • Assignment (2): 40%
       
  • Grading: Pass 50- 64% Merit 65% - 79% Distinction 80-100%
