Training Aim:

To enable the learner to gain an understanding of the fundamental presentation concepts, practical experience in presentation design and implementation to support effective business and personal communication.

Objectives:

  • Understand presentations and their range of application

  • Be able to design multimedia presentations for a range of tasks
  • Be able to create presentations from design specification(s)
  • Be able to utilise a wide range of functions including graphics, various slide show effects, macros and other functions
  • Be able to create a presentation according to a given brief
  • Be able to demonstrate personal initiative and resourcefulness in responding to presentation assignments.
     

Outline Training Plan:

The specific learning outcomes are grouped in 3 units.

Unit 1: Basic Presentation Concepts
Unit 2: Presentation Design, Implementation and Organisation
Unit 3: Additional Presentation Operations

 
Training Duration:

 
30 hours approx (depending on Learner's prior knowledge/existing skills).

  • Access Database, as approved by FETAC.

  • All results are recorded on our database and comply with the Data Protection Act 1988.Project and Examination.
     

Assessment & Certification:

  • All assessment is devised by the Internal Assessor, with external modification by FETAC.

  • Assessment Briefs:
    • Examinations (Practical): 50%
    • Skills Demonstration: 10%
    • Project: 40%
       
  • Grading: Pass 50- 64% Merit 65% - 79% Distinction 80-100%
