Training Aim:

To enable the Learner to demonstrate basic practical skills and knowledge of photography.

Objectives:

Be able to use camera equipment appropriately

Become aware of the different types of cameras.

Gain an overall awareness of camera handling techniques.

Be able to make creative photographic images

Practice taking photographs

Make a product using their own photographic images

Demonstrate an awareness of compositional techniques used in photography

Outline Training Plan:

Distinguish between different kinds of cameras

Demonstrate competence and knowledge in preparing a camera for use

Demonstrate competence and knowledge in operating a camera

Distinguish between different types of accessories

Take a range of images using different accessories

Demonstrate a knowledge of key elements of effective composition

Make a photographic product

Demonstrate competence and knowledge in the mounting and presentation of photographs.

Training Duration:

20 hours approx (depending on Learner's prior knowledge/existing skills).

Course Fee:

Upon request (discounted group and FÁS/CE participant)

Record System

Access Database, as approved by FETAC.

All results are recorded on our database and comply with the Data Protection Act 1988.Project and Examination.

Assessment & Certification:

All assessment is devised by the Internal Assessor, with external modification by FETAC.

Collection of Work: 100%

Grading: Pass 50- 64% Merit 65% - 79% Distinction 80-100%

Training Organisation - FAS Approved = 902364.
Tutors listed on the NRT - National Register of Trainers.
