Training Aim:

To enable the Learner to gain the opportunity to explore a range of social issues, to reflect on the nature of interpersonal relationships and to gain an understanding of the personal and social factors which influence their own lives.

Objectives:

Acquire knowledge and understanding of a range of social issues which encourages them to develop broad and balanced views

Reflect on their own life experience in a variety of situations

Explore their attitudes to personal rights and responsibilities in a range of areas

Enhance self awareness, self-esteem and assertiveness

Outline Training Plan:

The specific learning outcomes are grouped in 4 units.

Unit 1: Contemporary Social Issues
Unit 2: Personal Identity
Unit 3: Personal Growth through Reflection
Unit 4: Assertiveness

Training Duration:

30 hours approx (depending on Learner's prior knowledge/existing skills).

Course Fee:

Upon request (discounted group and FÁS/CE participant)

Access Database, as approved by FETAC.

All results are recorded on our database and comply with the Data Protection Act 1988.Project and Examination.

Assessment & Certification:

All assessment is devised by the Internal Assessor, with external modification by FETAC.

Grading: Pass 50- 64% Merit 65% - 79% Distinction 80-100%
