Interior Design Computer Applications FETAC Level 6 N32869

Training Aim:

To enable the Learner to develop the skills in using a variety of computer software applications to an advanced standard and in an integrated way thus realising the creative potential of the computer within the context of Interior Design.

Objectives:

Produce 2D drawings to an advanced/professional standard using a wide range of advanced CAD commands.

Have a basic understanding of 3D computer aided draughting in order to create and view 3 dimensional designs.

Acquire a comprehensive knowledge of hardware/software configurations on a computer system with regard to scanning and an image processing system. Develop a comprehensive knowledge of image manipulation techniques to produce a variety of complex designs using computer technology.

Produce advanced presentation outputs using a variety of computer software applications in formatting and layout techniques, including multimedia effects.

Outline Training Plan:

The specific learning outcomes are grouped in 4 units.

Unit 1: Advanced 2D CAD
Unit 2: 3D CAD
Unit 3: Manipulation
Unit 4: Computers for Presentation

Training Duration:

40hours approx (depending on Learner's prior knowledge/existing skills).

Upon request (discounted group and FÁS/CE participant)

All results are recorded on our database and comply with the Data Protection Act 1988.Project and Examination.

Assessment & Certification:

All assessment is devised by the Internal Assessor, with external modification by FETAC.
