Training Aim:

To enable the Learner to gain the skills and knowledge to promote Health.

Objectives:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of how to raise community awareness of health related issues

  • Know how to establish community health programs
  • Appreciate the need to empower others to take responsibility for their own health
  • Comprehensive understanding of holistic approach to health
  • Appreciate the role of education in compliance
     

Outline Training Plan:

The specific learning outcomes are grouped in 4 units.

Unit 1: Guide to healthy living
Unit 2: Plan a health promotion programme
Unit 3: Set-up a health promotion programme
Unit 4: Evaluate a health promotion programme

 
Training Duration:

 
40 hours approx (depending on Learner's prior knowledge/existing skills).

  • Access Database, as approved by FETAC.

  • All results are recorded on our database and comply with the Data Protection Act 1988.Project and Examination.
     

Assessment & Certification:

  • All assessment is devised by the Internal Assessor, with external modification by FETAC.

    • Skills Demonstration: 30%
    • Project: 40%
       
  • Grading: Pass 50- 64% Merit 65% - 79% Distinction 80-100%
