Event Production (FETAC) Level 5 E20112

Training Aim:

To enable the Learner to gain the technical and personal skills to organise and produce any event such as an exhibition, performance, conference and/or festival.

Objectives:

  • Understand the breadth of practical skills and theoretical knowledge required to follow a career in event production

  • Acquire the practical skills and theoretical knowledge necessary to work in any of the technical and/or administrative areas of event production
  • Develop the ability to work as part of a production team
  • Realise the significance of the relationship between the concept and the production work that makes it a reality
  • Develop the self-discipline and self-confidence which comes out of practical experience and skill
  • Appreciate the importance of safety and welfare in the work place
     

Outline Training Plan:

The specific learning outcomes are grouped in 3 units.

Unit 1: Planning an Event
Unit 2: The Event
Unit 3: Interpersonal and Communication skills

 
Training Duration:

 
30 hours approx (depending on Learner's prior knowledge/existing skills).

  • Access Database, as approved by FETAC.

  • All results are recorded on our database and comply with the Data Protection Act 1988.Project and Examination.
     

Assessment & Certification:

  • All assessment is devised by the Internal Assessor, with external modification by FETAC.

  • Assessment Briefs:
    • Skills Demonstration: 30%
    • Project: 70%
       
  • Grading: Pass 50- 64% Merit 65% - 79% Distinction 80-100%
