Training Aim:

To enable the Learner to develop their confidence to use drawing as a means of communication.

Objectives:

  • Use drawing as a communications tool

  • Use drawing media creatively and imaginatively
  • Develop observation and communication skills
  • Record aspects of the visible world
  • Experiment with a wide range of drawing media
     

Outline Training Plan:

The specific learning outcomes are not grouped into units. They are as follows:

  • Communicate basic ideas through making marks

  • Show evidence of creative use of drawing media
  • Use a range of drawing techniques
  • Demonstrate use of a wide range of drawing media
  • Observe and record a variety of subjects, for example:
    • the manufactured environment
    • the natural environment
    • the human figure
  • Select and present work for assessment

 
Training Duration:

 
30 hours approx (depending on Learner's prior knowledge/existing skills).
