Training Aim:

To enable the Learner to gain a thorough working knowledge of data entry functions enabling efficient and accurate data input using the keyboard or a voice input system.

Objectives:

  • Acquire a thorough working knowledge of all data entry functions

  • Develop the skills necessary to display a limited range of documents to mailable standard
  • Develop basic proof-reading skills
  • Develop good work habits, and the efficient use of equipment and materials
     

Outline Training Plan:

The specific learning outcomes are grouped in 3 units.

Unit 1: Data Entry
Unit 2: Document Production
Unit 3: Proof Reading

 
Training Duration:

 
30 hours approx (depending on Learner's prior knowledge/existing skills).

  • Access Database, as approved by FETAC.

  • All results are recorded on our database and comply with the Data Protection Act 1988.Project and Examination.
     

Assessment & Certification:

  • All assessment is devised by the Internal Assessor, with external modification by FETAC.

  • Assessment Briefs:
    • Practical Assignments 1: Speed and Accuracy 60%
    • Practical Assignments 2: Document Production 20%
    • Practical Assignments 3: Proof Reading 20%
       
  • Grading: Pass 50- 64% Merit 65% - 79% Distinction 80-100%
