Training Aim:

To enable the Learner to gain the knowledge and skills to strengthen and develop their personal understanding of their own style of conflict management.

Objectives:

  • Develop a greater awareness of their personal style in dealing with conflict.

  • Understand how their personal style impacts on the management of conflict.
  • Understand the role of conflict within group organisational life.
  • Develop an analytical framework for understanding and managing conflict in the workplace.
  • Develop the skills applicable to managing conflict in the workplace
     

Outline Training Plan:

The specific learning outcomes are grouped in 2 units.

Unit 1: Personal Awareness and Conflict Management
Unit 2: Conflict Management Theory and Practice

40 hours approx (depending on Learner's prior knowledge/existing skills).

Assessment & Certification:

  • All assessment is devised by the Internal Assessor, with external modification by FETAC.

    • Project: 50%
       
  • Grading: Pass 50- 64% Merit 65% - 79% Distinction 80-100%
