Training Aim:

To enable the Learner to develop their Assessment Practice, understand certifying body requirements and gain an understanding of a diverse range of assessment tools appropriate to a wide range of participants

Objectives:

Understand the principles of assessment and develop an awareness of the role of the assessor.

Accommodate diversity in the assessment process.

Be able to use a range of assessment techniques.

Demonstrate good communication and feedback skills.

Carry out an assessment.

Outline Training Plan:

The specific learning outcomes are grouped in 5 units.

Unit 1: Assessment Principles
Unit 2: Accommodating Diversity
Unit 3: Assessment Techniques
Unit 4: Conducting an Assessment
Unit 5: Preparation for a Monitoring visit

Training Duration:

40 hours approx (depending on Learner's prior knowledge/existing skills).

Course Fee:

Upon request (discounted group and FÁS/CE participant)

Record System

Access Database, as approved by FETAC.

All results are recorded on our database and comply with the Data Protection Act 1988.Project and Examination.

Assessment & Certification:

All assessment is devised by the Internal Assessor, with external modification by FETAC.

Skills Demostration: 30%

Project: 40%

Grading: Pass 50- 64% Merit 65% - 79% Distinction 80-100%
