Training Aim:

To enable the Learner to develop their Assessment Practice, understand certifying body requirements and gain an understanding of a diverse range of assessment tools appropriate to a wide range of participants

Objectives:

  • Understand the principles of assessment and develop an awareness of the role of the assessor.

  • Accommodate diversity in the assessment process.
  • Be able to use a range of assessment techniques.
  • Demonstrate good communication and feedback skills.
  • Carry out an assessment.

 
Outline Training Plan:

 
The specific learning outcomes are grouped in 5 units.

Unit 1: Assessment Principles
Unit 2: Accommodating Diversity
Unit 3: Assessment Techniques
Unit 4: Conducting an Assessment
Unit 5: Preparation for a Monitoring visit

 
Training Duration:

 
40 hours approx (depending on Learner's prior knowledge/existing skills).
