Training Aim:

To enable the Learner to gain the knowledge and skills to deliver quality assessments in the Retail sector. It will assist learners to develop appropriate knowledge, skills and attitudes to work as an assessor in a Retail organisation.

Objectives:

Appreciate the importance of the assessment process in a Retail operation.

Understand the concept of criterion referenced assessment

Understand the roles and responsibilities of an assessor in a Retail organisation.

Work effectively as part of a team.

Acquire the necessary communication skills in order to meet assessor requirements.

Acquire the necessary administration skills in order to meet assessor requirements.

Be familiar with a range of methods of assessment.

Ensure equality in the treatment and assessment of all candidates

Develop good assessor practice in a Retail environment.

Outline Training Plan:

The specific learning outcomes are grouped in 4 units.

Unit 1: Planning For Assessment
Unit 2: Collecting Performance Evidence
Unit 3: Judging Candidate Performance
Unit 4: Assessment Decision and Feedback

Training Duration:

40 hours approx (depending on Learner's prior knowledge/existing skills).

Course Fee:

Upon request (discounted group and FÁS/CE participant)

Record System

Access Database, as approved by FETAC.

All results are recorded on our database and comply with the Data Protection Act 1988.Project and Examination.

Assessment & Certification:

All assessment is devised by the Internal Assessor, with external modification by FETAC.

Assessment Briefs:

Collection of Work: 100%

Grading: Pass 50- 64% Merit 65% - 79% Distinction 80-100%

Trainer/Instructor/ Workplace:

Training Organisation - FAS Approved = 902364.
Tutors listed on the NRT - National Register of Trainers.
