Training Aim:

To enable the Learner to acquire and use architectural drawing skills as a means of communicating ideas, concepts and details in an architectural discipline.

Objectives:

  • Understand and appreciate the relevance of architectural drawing

  • Use architectural drawing as a means of communicating ideas, concepts and details
  • Develop skills in modern and traditional methods of architectural drawing
  • Develop a visual perception and a critical awareness of the built environment
  • Acquire analytical problem solving skills
  • Record and present information accurately
  • Apply a range of technical constructions relating to architectural drawing.

 
Outline Training Plan:

 
The specific learning outcomes are grouped in 4 units.

Unit 1: Orthographic Views
Unit 2: Detailing
Unit 3: Surveying (Internal/External)
Unit 4: Presentation Drawings

 
Training Duration:

 
30 hours approx (depending on Learner's prior knowledge/existing skills).

  • Access Database, as approved by FETAC.

  • All results are recorded on our database and comply with the Data Protection Act 1988.Project and Examination.
     

Assessment & Certification:

  • All assessment is devised by the Internal Assessor, with external modification by FETAC.

  • Assessment Briefs:
    • Collection of Work: 60%
    • Project: 40%
       
  • Grading: Pass 50- 64% Merit 65% - 79% Distinction 80-100%.
